The Price of Wild Things is my latest novel: a retro-futurist science-fiction story about nature, progress and the price we pay for both. Years in the making, it is currently nearing completion.

Set between two very different sides of a region rebuilt after ecological collapse, the story follows two men whose lives become tangled in the promises of the all-encompassing Zephyr Corporation.

High above Zircon City, genetic archivist Jon Miyamoto is offered the chance to help build a brighter future from the remains of a world long dead.

Down among the streets of Jade City, casino owner Arturo Razetti would be quite content if the future left him alone.

Unfortunately, Zeph has plans for both of them.

And somewhere between the corporate towers, endless bureaucracy and forgotten places beneath the city, something wild is beginning to stir.
